A virtual private server (VPS) is a method of splitting a server. Each virtual server can run its own operating system, and can be independently rebooted. You can get all the benefits of a dedicated server including full root access to modify your VPS to you requirements.

A typical VPS is setup with CentOS Linux with Full Root Access (64 Bit), the Apache Web Server, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Python and Ruby. All VPS server are configured with the IPTables Firewall and KSplice kernel updates using KSplice Uptrack so you can keep your system up to date without even rebooting.
